- Must-Know Repair Tips for Inflatable CastlesSource: wolong By:wl-inflatable Posted:12-02-2025 Views:
Inflatable castles are popular amusement facilities, but they often face minor issues during operation—like punctures from sharp objects, loose seams, peeling decorative edges, or local bulges. Waiting for manufacturers to repair them (either on-site or by sending the castle back) can take too long and disrupt business. Luckily, most of these problems are easy to fix with the repair kit that comes with the castle. Here are the common repair methods:
1. Patching Small Holes or Tears
Before patching, clean the damaged area to ensure a tight bond. Then:
Apply a thin layer of glue evenly on both the damaged part of the castle and the patch fabric.
Let the glue sit for about 30 seconds (to let it adhere better).
Press the patch onto the damaged area, then weigh it down for 1 minute to secure the bond.
Note: Don’t use too much glue—thicker layers don’t mean stronger adhesion.
2. Fixing Peeling Decorative Edges or Tears
If the tear (or peeling edge) is less than 5cm long: Patch it directly using the method above.
If the tear is longer than 5cm: First sew the tear with needles and thread, then apply the patch.
3. Repairing Loose Seams
For seams that come undone:
Sew the loose seam back together neatly with needles and thread.
Apply a patch over the sewn area to reinforce it.
4. Fixing Local Bulges
Bulges usually happen when the internal tension strap (used to support the castle) tears away from the air cushion. To fix this:
Unzip (or open) the bottom of the air cushion along the seam.
Sew the tension strap back to the air cushion with needles and thread.
Stick a fabric strip over the sewn area to protect the seam.
With these simple steps, you can quickly fix most inflatable castle issues and keep your business running smoothly!
